Career Summary

Mr. Tauhidul Hasan is an environmental safeguard specialist with over a decade of work experience, holding both Bachelor and MS degree in environmental science. He possesses advanced knowledge of Air Dispersion Modeling (AERMOD and CALPUFF) and has a solid understanding of GIS tools and techniques.

Mr. Tauhidul has a good understanding of ECA 1995, ECR 2023, the IFC Sustainability Framework (2012), the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework, the World Bank General and Sector-Specific Guidelines, the Asian Development Bank Safeguards Policy Statement (2009), and the Japan International Cooperation Agency Guidelines for Environmental and Social Considerations.

Additionally, Mr. Tauhidul has extensive experience providing environmental consulting to multilateral and bilateral funding agencies, such as the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), DEG, CDC, the Asian Development Bank, JICA, and financial intermediaries (Bangladesh Bank, IDCOL, BIFFL). He has substantial experience in conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), Environmental, Health and Social Audit (EH&S Audit), Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS), Air Dispersion Modelling for various development projects in home and abroad. He has work experience in Kenya and Somalia.  

Mr. Tauhidul worked extensively on EIA/ESIA-related aspects with government entities and public limited companies (e.g., Powercell, NWPGCL, BCPCL, EGCB, BAPEX, SGFL, BEZA, DMTCL), as well as with corporates (e.g., PRAN-RFL, BSRM, GPH, Linde, United Group, Unique Group, MAX Group, Bashundhara Group, Meghna Group etc.). Furthermore, he has collaborated with international consultancy organizations (e.g., ERM, AECOM, NKDM Association, Metro Five Consultants, NKDOS, JDI, ALMEC, Nippon Koei, PADECO, CTI, Oriental, Katahira) on various projects in Bangladesh.

His experience spans multiple sectors, including but not limited to power projects (Thermal- Gas/Coal/HFO and Renewable Power- Solar, and Wind), infrastructure (townships, economic zones), linear sector projects (Metro Rail, Highways, Railways, Bridge and Roads), and manufacturing (food and beverage, electrical and electronics), as well as various small- to large-scale industries.
